Contestants ages 6–11
The following products are permitted:
Very light blemish-covering makeup is permitted but is not required. Any permitted makeup should look natural.
Full foundation and fake tanning are not permitted.

Contestants ages 12 and older
All makeup is permitted for contestants ages 12 and older.
Contestants may use products that enhance their natural beauty and help them feel confident. Although there are no makeup-product restrictions for this age group, Coast to Coast still looks for a polished appearance and natural glow.

All Age Groups
Hair and nails
For contestants ages 0–11, extensions and hairpieces are permitted only when they are part of the child’s everyday appearance.
Hairpieces required because of a medical condition are also permitted.
Hair extensions are permitted for all contestants ages 12 and older.
Coast to Coast welcomes all hairstyles. Hair may be curly, braided, straight, shaved, wavy, natural, or styled in another way that reflects the contestant’s individuality.
We do not require a traditional “pageant” hairstyle. Each contestant’s hair should reflect her personal best onstage.
Nail polish is permitted in every division but should not become a distraction.
Children under age 11 may not wear fake nails.

Purchasing the Red Carpet Package includes entry into the Regional optional events and eligibility for Red Carpet Optional Awards. These awards are separate from overall scoring, do not affect final placement or title eligibility, and contestants may win multiple awards.

A beautiful medal and recognition through the Lauren Legacy Award.
Community service must be completed within three months of the event and submitted before the event date. Contestants completing the most service hours may receive additional honors.

Contestants are scouted during the Runway competition by top agencies and managers.
The top Star Search choice in each breakdown earns free entry into the 2027 International Finals Star Search Competition.
