A Finals experience for everyone

Hair & Make Up

Select a pathway for age-appropriate requirements, divisions, preparation, accommodations, awards and examples.

Queens ages 0-5

Only the following makeup is permitted for all onstage competitions

Fake tanning is strictly prohibited.

Makeup checks will be conducted before competition begins. Contestants who are not in compliance will not be permitted onstage.

Light blush

Clear lip gloss

Makeup is not required. If worn, it should remain very light and natural.

No full foundation.

Makeup — Ages 12+

All makeup is permitted.

There are no makeup restrictions for contestants ages 12 and older. Contestants may use products that enhance their appearance and confidence, while maintaining a polished overall look.

Hair Rules

Hair Styling

We embrace all hairstyles. Contestants are not expected to follow a traditional “pageant hair” look.

Curly, braided, straight, shaved, wavy, natural, and other hairstyles are all welcome. Hair should reflect the contestant’s personal best and individuality onstage.

Nails

Nail polish is permitted in all divisions but should not be distracting.

Children under age 12 should not wear fake nails.
